How To Order a Bluster Bay Umbrella Swift or Skein Winder (Clock Reel)

All of Bluster Bay’s products, including swifts and skein winders, are hand-made, one at a time in our one-person wood shop. Because of their intricacy, yarn swifts and winders require many hours of careful work and are available only from Bluster Bay Woodworks.

We accept payment with a personal check or money order, payable in U.S. dollars, or with Visa or MasterCard.

We are always available to help you select the perfect textile tool to meet your needs, whether it be for you own use or for use in your yarn shop. How To Order Bluster Bay Shuttles

Bluster Bay shuttles are sold through the retailers listed on our shuttle retailers page. Please feel free to contact one of these weaving supply retailers to order Bluster Bay shuttles.

If you cannot find the shuttle you need through one of our retailers, we are happy to fill your order directly. Also, if you need additional information about how any of the shuttles perform, their dimensions, the woods we use, etc., please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Shipping Information

Each Bluster Bay shuttle, swift or reel is made to order. Delivery times may vary depending on our work load and show attendance schedule. Please contact us before placing your order if you would like an approximate ship date or if you need delivery by a specific date.

For any retail order shipped to a U.S. address, there is one simple shipping charge of $12.00.

For any retail order shipped to Canada, there is one simple shipping charge of $17.50.

Retail orders shipped to addresses outside the U.S. or Canada, will be charged actual shipping costs.

Bluster Bay products are shipped via UPS ground. Shipment via U.S. Mail is available for those outside the contiguous U.S. or with P.O. Box addresses.

Actual shipping costs will be charged for any alternate shipping method requested by the customer (e.g. any FedEx service, UPS Express, UPS Next Day, UPS 2nd Day, or USPS Express Mail).

Becoming a Bluster Bay Shuttle Retailer

We have wholesale information available if you have a store, web store, weaving school, or mail order catalog and would like to become a retailer for Bluster Bay shuttles.
